Getting StartedQuick Start

Quick Start

Connect your first social account using Palactix in minutes.

You will:

  1. Create a developer app
  2. Generate an access token
  3. Connect a social account
  4. Fetch connected accounts

1. Create a Developer App

Go to the developer portal and create your app:

Create your Developer App

You will receive:

  • client_id
  • client_secret

2. Generate Access Token

Use your app credentials to generate an API token.

curl -X POST https://api.palactix.com/v1/oauth/token \ -H "Authorization: Basic BASE64(client_id:client_secret)" \ -H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" \ -d "grant_type=client_credentials"`

Response

{ "access_token": "plx_xxx", "token_type": "Bearer", "expires_in": 31536000 }

Use this token in all requests:

{ Authorization: Bearer plx_xxx }

3. Generate OAuth Connection URL

Create a connection link for your user.

curl "https://api.palactix.com/v1/oauth/instagram/connect?user_id=USER_123&redirect_url=https://yourapp.com/callback" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer plx_xxx"`

Response

{ "redirect_url": "https://instagram.com/oauth/authorize?...", "connection_id": "conn_abc123" }

Redirect your user to redirect_url

4. User Completes OAuth

  • User logs in to the platform
  • Grants permission
  • Redirects back to your redirect_url

Palactix processes the connection automatically.

5. Fetch Connected Accounts

Use the connection_id to retrieve accounts.

curl https://api.palactix.com/v1/connections/conn_abc123/accounts \ -H "Authorization: Bearer plx_xxx"`

Response

{ "connection_id": "conn_abc123", "status": "success", "accounts": [ { "id": "acc_1", "platform_id": 1, "username": "my_instagram", "name": "My Page" } ] }
